Harvard Medical School has several organizations who work together to make computing work. 

Research Information Technology Group

• Is part of the Information Technology department and supports server-based and specialized computing for the Department of Systems Biology
• assists the entire HMS community with shared infrastructure, information technology strategy, implementation, and support

West Quad Computing Group

• supports server-based and specialized computing on the West Quad
• assists the West Quad community with information technology strategy, implementation, and support

Genetics and Pathology Computer Facility

• supports server-based and specialized computing in the Department of Genetics and the Department of Pathology
• assists the Genetics Department with information technology strategy, implementation, and support

Microbiology Computer Support

• supports server-based and specialized computing in the Department of Microbiology
• assists the Microbiology Department with information technology strategy, implementation, and support

Information Technology

• broadly supports computing needs throughout the medical school
• contains several specialized groups (some of which are listed below)

Information Technology Client Services Group

• supports a specific set of hardware and software for day-to-day computing needs
• works closely with RITG when work falls beyond their official support scope

Information Technology Network Operations Group

• designs, maintains, monitors, and upgrades HMS network infrastructure
• works closely with RITG and IT/CSG to provide network connectivity for the devices they support
