Lasergene by DNAStar

  • download Lasergene (eCommons login required) - for Windows XP/2000, MacOS X
  • Lasergene is a suite of sequence analysis software by DNAStar for Windows and Mac, with analysis tools including alignments, contig assembly, gene discovery, primer design, restriction mapping, protein structure prediction, and more.
  • Lasergene is available to all Quad-based faculty, staff, and students of HMS/HSDM/HSPH, and licensed for use on the HMS network.
  • Quad-based users may also run Lasergene offsite using the HMS VPN system. Please contact the HMS IT Helpdesk at 617-432-2000 or email Help_Desk@hms.harvard.edu to register for VPN.
  • There are a limited number of concurrent Lasergene licenses available. Please contact RITG at http://ritg.med.harvard.edu/support/ if you are having trouble retrieving a license.

  • Mathematica can also be run on the Orchestra Shared Research Cluster, in addition to the desktop versions.

  • download MATLAB (eCommons login required) - for Linux x86, Windows XP/2000, MacOS X
  • MATLAB is available to all Quad-based faculty, staff, and students of HMS, and licensed for use only on the HMS network.
  • Quad-based users may also run MATLAB offsite using the HMS VPN system. Please contact the HMS IT Helpdesk at 617-432-2000 or email Help_Desk@hms.harvard.edu to register for VPN.
  • Please be aware that the number of licenses available at any one time is limited.
